On Tuesday March 11th we welcome Stuart Haywood, Chair of Stoke-on-Trent Welsh Society. To coincide with the release of his book of the same name Stuart will be recounting the movement of large numbers of native Welsh people from Denbighshire and Flintshire to North Staffordshire; to seek new opportunities during the Victorian age. This will be an ideal opportunity for networking between like minded people and a social occasion to encounter new friends with a raffle and refreshments. If you are researching your family trees you may well find connections through this event as well as this being a fascinating part of local history.
