“Flowers: Their Moral, Language, and Poetry” by H.G. Adams is a fascinating book that delves into the symbolic meanings, moral lessons, and poetic representations of various flowers. Published in the mid-19th century, it reflects the Victorian era’s deep interest in the language of flowers, also known as floriography.
Scholars believe that this work is important enough to be preserved and reproduced, with modern reprints still available. However this is a very early edition printed by Halifax, Milner and Sowerby in 1856.
